Getting to Salerno Airport by bus

Currently, the Salerno airport is only connected to the city centre of Salerno by public transport of the BusItalia company via Line 8 (Via Ligea-Battipaglia), which guarantees daily runs from the early hours of dawn. At present, there are no private companies guaranteeing connections from the airport to the centre of Salerno and the Amalfi Coast cities.

Getting to Salerno Airport by metro

There is currently no metro connection, but an extension of the existing public metro service from Salerno station to the Salerno Costa d'Amalfi airport is planned. The extension of the metro to the Salerno airport, planned by the end of 2026, will take place through the construction of a new track of almost 9 kilometres, from the current Arechi station to the Salerno Costa d'Amalfi Airport, through a new track that will be joined by the Salerno-Battipaglia railway line.

Getting to Salerno Airport by car

  • Coming from Naples: take the A2 highway exit 'Pontecagnano Sud/Aeroporto', then continue on the S.S. 18 in the direction of Bellizzi and turn right through the railway subway to reach the airport. The airport can be reached in about 5 minutes from the highway exit.

  • Coming from Salerno ring road: take the ring road exit marked 'Aversana - Aeroporto' and continue for about 5 km, then come to a roundabout and take the third exit following the signs for the airport. The airport can be reached in about 13 minutes from the ring road exit.

  • Coming from south of Italy: take the A2 highway exit 'Pontecagnano Sud/Aeroporto', then continue on the S.S. 18 in the direction of Bellizzi and turn right through the railway subway to reach the airport. The airport can be reached in about 5 minutes from the highway exit.
