So let's find out below what are the main attractions that characterize the entire Baia degli Infreschi and therefore this exclusive boat tour.
What to see at the Bay of the Infreschi
1. Baia degli Infreschi
Baia degli Infreschi is located a few kilometers from Marina di Camerota, along the coastline of Lentiscosa, a small hamlet of Camerota. Baia degli Infreschi consists of a bay and a small cove. The Baia degli Infreschi beach ranks high among the most beautiful and visited beaches in the entire Cilento area, in fact it has been voted Italy's most beautiful beach multiple times by Legambiente. Moreover, the natural shape of the surrounding cliffs make Baia degli Infreschi a true natural harbor, whose name is associated with the freshness of the freshwater springs that gush at some points along the coast. The origin of the name of Baia degli Infreschi can be attributed to Roman times, in fact the name given to it was Anphorisca since clay was quarried there for the manufacture of clay artifacts. In the 17th century, on nautical charts it was called Anfresca, and then later came to its present name of Baia Infreschi.
Therefore, the boat trip to Baia degli Infreschi becomes a must for those who decide to spend a day or vacation in Marina di Camerota.
2. Blue Grotto
The Blue Grotto in Marina di Camerota, also known as Cala Fortuna Cave, is smaller and less well known than the one in Palinuro, but no less fascinating. The cave is named Cala Fortuna, as it is said that net fishing has always been very successful here.
3. Lovers' Cave
Not far from the Zancale tower, there is a small cave called the “cave of the Lovers.” Its name derives from the curious story told by old sailors, that is, since it is a small cave easily accessible from the port of Marina di Camerota with a small beach inside, this represented the ideal place for elopements by young couples, especially for those where families hindered their marriage.
4. Grotta delle Noglie
Not far from the inlet of Porto Infreschi, along the east coast of Marina di Camerota, is the Grotta delle Noglie, it has the peculiarity of being a cave about three meters high above the water, and this has meant that it has been inhabited by humans at different times in prehistory. There are many traces of human presence, and they are mainly preserved on the upper part of the cave wall, which is not reached by sea erosion.
5. Cala Bianca
Cala Bianca beach was declared Italy's most beautiful beach by Legambiente in 2013. Its name comes from the beautiful expanse of sand mixed with small white pebbles that characterize its beach. The beach of Cala Bianca, surrounded and immersed in the Mediterranean maquis, can be reached only in two ways: the first is by boat from Marina di Camerota, the second is on foot from Pozzallo through a path through the Mediterranean maquis.
6. Pozzallo beach
Pozzallo beach is enchanting place, and unlike the nearby Cala Bianca, enjoys the presence of a small restaurant camouflaged in the green Mediterranean scrub, which offers bathers all kinds of services and tasty lunches, typically based on the products of the Cilento tradition. The Pozzallo beach is characterized by a mixture of pebbles and gravel and offers the possibility of swimming in beautiful, crystal-clear waters.
