Useful information on hydrofoils and ferries to the Amalfi Coast
Ferries from Salerno to the Amalfi Coast: where do you board in Salerno?
If you are traveling from Salerno to the Amalfi Coast, you should definitely be aware that there are two embarkation ports in Salerno: Molo Manfredi, where hydrofoils depart, and Piazza della Concordia, where ferries depart.
Piazza della Concordia is 300 m away from the train station, and Manfredi Pier is about 2 km from the station.
It is also important to know that the port at which cruise ships dock is located adjacent to Manfredi Pier.
Where does the Amalfi and Positano ferry leave from?
In Amalfi, the arrival and departure pier for all ferries is Molo Pennello, in the center of town.
In Positano the pier is located on the Spiaggia Grande and is intended exclusively for embarking and disembarking. If your accommodation is in the upper part of the town, we recommend arriving by car, as there are no driveways between the beach and the upper part of the town, only stairs.
Amalfi Coast ferry schedules: summer and winter timetable
Schedules vary significantly between summer and winter: the summer schedule is generally in effect from the beginning of April until the last days of October. Sometimes it is possible for schedules to be changed even within the same season, such as during peak season, so we recommend to check the schedule a few days before departure.
